Come and experience a relaxed and informal evening with the Yass Valley Concert Band by experiencing an ‘Open Rehearsal’ . Come and hear and watch how we work through the music that we have been practicing this year and at the same time contribute towards the Mt Carmel Music Program.

Come out and enjoy an afternoon of fine music hosted by the Yass Valley Concert Band and featuring instrumental and vocal soloists who have a link to the Yass Valley Shire, both past and present.

You'll hear compositions and arrangements of music by Mozart, Beethoven, Joplin, Anderson, Saint-Saens and Morricone, among others. Featured soloists will include notable artists such as Alice Giles AM, Gillian Pereira, Julie O'Connor, Rachel McNally and more.

The concert will take place in the new Yass High School Hall. Refreshments can be purchased during intermission.

Proceeds from this event will go toward a current Yass District Hospital Auxiliary product, which is the purchase of a Mindray Beneheart ECG machine for the Hospital at the cost of $5472. This ECG machine allows patient ECGs to get uploaded to the hospital electronic medical system. This will benefit patients and the staff, especially those patients that are reviewed by the Virtual Doctor. It allows the Virtual Doctor to be able to see the ECG clearly instead of staff needing to email/fax or hold up the ECG to the camera for the Doctor to review.

Ticket prices: Adult - $20; Concession (seniors 65+; students; children under 16) - $12.50; Family (2 adults & any number of children under 16) - $50. At-the-door tickets will also be available at slightly higher prices.
